Our theme for this school year is Joyfully Christian. This theme is taken from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Christian schools are full of joys: the first day of school; the individual gifts and personalities at every grade level; the servant hearts of staff; the commitment of congregations and communities; the involvement of parents; the excitement of a team victory or a school performance; ministry milestones and anniversaries; graduations; and many more. The fullness of this joy lies in the Gospel proclamation within our Christian school. While our school students experience joy in many different contexts, the most JOY-FULL time and place is engaging in chapel and bible time together. In these settings, the full joy of Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection is proclaimed. What a blessing to teach this in our classrooms daily, to share with families, and to witness to the community and world! Our constant prayer is that we can continue preaching Christ to our children and families until He returns.
